Please Introduce yourself to the readers
PRINCE HANSOME: my names are Prince Osagiede Princewill Ovbokhan,
also know as Prince
handsome de AMORE MASTER, I am from Benin City Edo State, from
Egor Local Government area Nigeria, I am a Songswriter and Artist.
The brain behind the great hit AMORE.
NEUMAG: We are made to understand that you are now based in
Europe, how do you find the acceptance of Nigerian Music in Europe
PRINCE HANSOME: For me I will say it’s ok because the Afro Music Industry is growing big, as you can see all over. Nigerian Songs
are taking over every day through the help of the Media over here and the help
of Magazines and many more.
NEUMAG: When did you start your Musical Career
PRINCE HANSOME: Yeah I started from the street, the year
1994, it was not easy to break in
because there were no sponsors. I had to
keep strungling till the year 1996 when I dropped my first single MARIA which
hit up the streets and the clubs and got me noticed till now.
NEUMAG: Your Song ‘’Better Nigeria’’, is a Great Message to
Nigeria and its spreading around so fast with the help of the Media, what gave
you the inspiration to write that song.
PRINCE HANSOME: Better Nigeria is an inspirational song from
the crisis around the Nourth Region of Nigeria, I so much believe that my music
is a means through which I can pass a
good message to my lovely poeple of Nigeria because each time you turn on your
TV Set what you will see is killings, and to think of it, how long will this
last, so its better if we drop down the Guns and Swords and embrace peace like the days of our true Nigeria, when
the green were still green and the white were still white, so let me use this
moment to advIce my other respected Artists in the game to please
create songs that can restore peace in the minds of every Nigerian, Music is
not all about the girls, Clubs, Dance but we can as well make a good music with
good message at least that can help contribute to the peace keeping movement in
Nigeria.
NEUMAG: Your Hit Track Cinderela Feat. Slizzy E. is a great
Hit, how is it doing in the Nigerian Entertainment Scene.
PRINCE HANSOME: Is doing marvelously good and is already on
the streets, the Clubs and Homes, in every mix tape you can think of, Radio
Stations,on the best Deejay Play list, also we are preparing to hit up the video before the
album drops next year. Believe me the video is going to be off the hook.
NEUMAG: Slizzy E. a.k.a. Edo Boy is also well known here in
Europe, How did you hook up with him on that track.
PRINCE HANSOME: For real, Slizzy E is a very good friend, he is like a brother from
the same mother and we have known each other since the year 1994 he is keeping
it real till date, anyway, he is an Artist
every one wants to work with, when having a dream to achieve a great hit and I so much love and
trust him and so much believe in every
single Artist from the South South .
NEUMAG: Apart from Slizzy, have you worked with any other
Artist
PRINCE HANSOME : Yes,
I have worked with Spunz Di Nero
, Keys, Annointed Thio and PC Dre and many more.
NEUMAG: The Nigerian Artists and the Entertainment Industry
is Growing larger in Nigeria right now and also spreading across the Globe, As
a hard working Artist, which level do you see yourself in the next two or three
years.
PRINCE HANSOME: Lovely, like every single Artist, I will
say, to me, I am sure I will be above where I am now taking my music far above
every human expectation, creating good sound, working with the best art of our
time, best sound enginners more collabos,
taking Nigeria songs far Internationally.
NEUMAG: If you are to be nominated in any award, in which
category would you like to be.
PRINCE HANSOME: I will like to be nominated for the best Inspirational
Art of the Year because my songs are
full of messages and I so much believe in songs with messages, when
writing or call for collabos.
NEUMAG: As a Talented Nigerian Artist in Diaspora, what do
you thnk is the reason why Nigerian Artists in Diaspora are less recognized in
Nigeria
PRINCE HANSOME: To me I will say PROMOTION, yeah, music needs a good Medium for promotion and
distribution, like the TV Houses, Radios, Deejays, Magazines, shows, and lot more most importantly,
make sure you are giving the people what
they need, beleive me you will break in @ once.
NEUMAG: Tell us about
your forthcoming Album
PRINCE HANSOME: My Album
is going to be the best of my best, because this time I am working with a lot
of nigerians best Art and Engineers, mostly South South Art like me also.
NEUMAG: Your music
Productions, are they handled here in Europe or in Nigeria
PRINCE HANSOME : No, my
productions are from Nigeria, because I love working with South Engineers like
MAD FINGA PRODUCTION and EYEZY BEAT ALSO HIT MAKERS like my new single with Slizzy E, was produce
by MAD FINGA Spuze Di Nero, all my material are from Nigeria.
NEUMAG: When your
Album drops in 2013, Through which form are you going to Market it. Through
Marketers or through personal marketing or through the Media, Explain to those
who are still confused on how to go about marketing.
PRINCE HANSOME: Yeah it will be through Marketer because i
really want thisAlbum to circulate fast around the globe.
NEUMAG: We hope you will still update Us when your Album
finally drops.
